Equipment Needs for Recreational Softball 

Participating in recreational softball requires a few essential items to ensure both safety and enjoyment on the field. All players are required to have a fielder’s mask and a softball glove for practices and games. These items help protect athletes and allow them to take part in drills and gameplay confidently. 

Players are also welcome to bring their own optional equipment, which may include a bat (see bat sizing matrix), batting helmet with a face mask, softball pants, softball backpack, and cleats. While these items are not mandatory, they can enhance comfort, performance, and personal convenience throughout the season. 

To support our players and families, 80027 Softball provides shared community equipment, including bats, batting helmets with face masks, and catcher’s gear when needed. This ensures every athlete has access to the essential gear required to participate, regardless of personal equipment availability.
